Are you a wordsmith with a passion for storytelling? We invite you to showcase your literary prowess and contribute to the vibrant assortment of written works in the NWF Journal. We welcome submissions in the following genres: poetry, fiction, non-fiction, interviews, book reviews, and essays.

POETRY: Let your verses dance on the page, exploring the depths of emotion, painting vivid imagery, and capturing the essence of life’s myriad experiences.

FICTION: Unleash your imagination and craft captivating tales that transport readers to new worlds, introduce compelling characters, and leave lasting impressions.

NON-FICTION: Share your personal stories, thought-provoking essays, and insightful reflections that shed light on the diverse aspects of our world, engaging readers with your unique perspective.

INTERVIEWS: Delve into conversations with fascinating individuals from various walks of life, be they authors, artists, activists, or experts, uncovering their inspiring stories and unravelling their creative processes.

BOOK REVIEWS: Discover literary gems and explore their nuances. Please share your thoughts, critiques, and recommendations with our readers, whether it’s a classic masterpiece or a contemporary bestseller.

ESSAYS: Express your well-argued opinions, delve into intellectual debates, and explore profound subjects through the art of the essay, enlightening readers with your insightful analyses.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:

Thank you for considering NWF Journal as a platform for your literary work. To ensure a smooth submission process, please adhere to the following guidelines:

1. Format: Submissions should be in standard manuscript format, using 12-point font (preferably Times New Roman or Arial) and double-spaced. Please include your name, contact information, and the title of your piece on the first page.

2. Word Count:
– Poetry: Up to three poems, with a maximum of 50 lines each.
– Fiction and Non-fiction: Up to 3,000 words.
– Interviews: Approximately 1,500 – 3,000 words.
– Book Reviews: Approximately 800 – 1,200 words.
– Essays: Approximately 1,500–3,000 words.

3. Originality: We seek original, previously unpublished works. Simultaneous submissions are accepted, but please inform us promptly if your submission is accepted elsewhere.

4. Submission Method: Submit your work as a Word document or PDF attachment via email to submission@nwfjournal.com.ng. In the subject line, please mention your first name and the genre of your submission (e.g., “Emily – Poetry Submission,” “Edward – Fiction Submission,” etc.).

5. Brief Bio: Include a brief third-person bio (100 words maximum) with your submission, highlighting your writing background, achievements, and relevant information.

6. Editing: Please review and edit your work carefully before submitting it. While we appreciate creative and unique writing styles, submissions with excessive grammatical errors or formatting issues may be rejected.

7. Response Time: We strive to respond to all submissions within two weeks from submission, but please understand that the volume of submissions may affect our response time. We appreciate your patience.

8. Rights: By submitting your work to NWF Journal, you grant us first serial rights and the non-exclusive right to publish your work online, in print, or in any other format we choose. All other rights revert to the author upon publication.
