Isah Aliyu Chiroma is a columnist, writer, and freelance journalist. Student of Usmanu Danfodiyo university sokoto. Chiroma is the editor-in-chief of the Nigerian Chapter of Right for Education and the poetry club UDUS. He received the Yasmin El Rufai Foundation's Artist of the Month award for March 2021. His essay was selected as one of the best entrants in the fifth Chinua Achebe poetry/essay anthology. He is an associate journalist with the Scoop storytelling initiative. He is the co-curator of the Sokoto Book and Arts Festival for the 2023 edition, organized yearly by the Sokoto Book and Arts Foundation. His works have appeared in the Guardian newspaper, Daily Trust, The Nation, This Day newspaper, Blueprint newspaper, konyashamsrumi, the arts-muse fair, Nigerian Observer, and opinion Nigeria newspaper. He lives in Bauchi, shuffling between developmental spaces, giving back to his community and advocating for quality education.
